South Korean Metal Company Selects Texas for New Manufacturing Facility
The temple economic development corporation announced that South Korean company SeAH will build a $110 million metal manufacturing facility in Temple, Texas. The new facility is expected to bring in 100 new jobs to the city. According to The Temple Economic Development Corporation the selection process for the multi-million dollar investment started over a year ago, and in the end temple Texas was selected from among a list of over 75 US cities. Initially it was governor Greg Abbott who made the announcement earlier this month about the high-performance metal manufacturing facility planned for construction in Temple, he said, "They do super alloys for the aviation, automotive, power generation and oil and gas industries," Long said. "We are the location of choice for such an operation. We're centrally located in the United States. We've got infrastructure here that's suitable for this type of manufacturing. We have a workforce here that's growing, young and available for this type of manufacturing to be trained for." Apperantly, the jobs created by the investment will range from manufacturing production work to management, purchasing, and quality control. Construction of the facility is projected to star in the third quarter of this year, while commercial production is expected to start at the beginning of 2026. Learn more about this topic here.
